MAGNESS ARENA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF DENVER WILL BECOME GROUND ZERO FOR THE 2012 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN on Wed., Oct. 3, when President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney go head-to-head in the first of three planned presidential debates. Jim Lehrer, moderator of the PBS NewsHour will guide this first meeting between the two candidates, with questions focusing on domestic issues. There are no tickets available to the general public. A small allotment will go to DU students by lottery. Meanwhile, protestors plan Occupy The Debate activities in advance of and on the day of the debate.
