Have a look at what’s new for fall when Cherry Creek North kicks off Fashion Week in a big way, as part of Fashion Night Out, on the evening of Thur., Sept. 6.

Style lovers will enjoy in-store events throughout the district, followed by a runway fashion show on Fillmore Plaza. The evening’s activities benefit programs of Goodwill Industries that outfit individuals with classy and professional-style wardrobe options.

Fashion Night Out begins with special happenings at nearly 40 CCN shops from 6-8p.m., ranging from trunk shows and mini fashion shows to complimentary services, giveaways, and more.

The Fillmore Plaza main event will feature 11 boutiques offering a taste of the diverse collections on display in Cherry Creek North. Featured fashions will come from: Alicia the Boutique, Eccentricity, Felice Bridal, Garbarini, Lawrence Covell, Mariel, SOL... Store of Lingerie, and Marks Lloyds Furs. Jewelry is being provided by Oster Jewelers.

Honoring the fashion needs of young people, Little Me’s and Little Feet will also walk the 88-foot runway, showcasing fall and winter looks for children.

The evening’s events are free and open to the public. There will be a limited number of reserved VIP tickets for sale for the fashion show providing (depending on level purchased): reserved runway seating, access to the VIP party before the show (complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres), free parking, and a goodie bag. Another fine business catering to young style mavens, Young Colors (313 Detroit St.) will focus on fashions for children as they celebrate their 15th year of creating and designing children’s clothing and accessories, on Sept. 6, with a Fashion Night Out party, 3:30-8p.m.

In addition to enjoying a complimentary ice cream social, kids will be invited to try on the perfect Young Colors outfit (Little Feet will be on hand to add appropriate shoes), and strut down the red carpet to have their picture taken in front of a classic turquoise pickup truck.

The Young Colors celebration begins with an after school pre-party at 3:30p.m. Prize drawings will take place at both the afternoon and evening festivities.

SOL...Store of Lingerie, 248 Detroit St., is turning 15 years old, nearly grown up enough to go shopping without mom and dad. Potter, designer, author, and TV personality Jonathan Adler has opened his 20th boutique at 158 Fillmore St. Adler’s 3,000-square-foot showroom displays a broad collection of home furnishings, accessories and artwork, including decorative objects, tabletop collections, bedding, bath accessories, candles, furniture, rugs, pillows and lighting. Adler’s style relies heavily on a design aesthetic which pairs modernist forms with bold colors and  graphics.

The Pasquini name may have disappeared from the Cherry Creek North streetscape, but pizza by Pasquini is still very much alive and well at 240 Milwaukee St. To maintain family harmony (and assuage the sense that his Cherry Creek pizzeria was too close to the original Pasquini’s location at 1310 S. Broadway, which his sister took ownership of in 2004), Pasquini chose to rename his place Tony P’s rather than go to battle with family.

In addition to the Cherry Creek Tony P’s, Pasquini owns a Pasquini’s in Lone Tree and one in the Highlands. He will open another shop sometime in October at 777 17th St. (formerly JR’s). He expects that all but the Cherry Creek location will proudly bear the Pasquini’s name.

By the way, if you’re headed to Tony P’s with pizza-loving pals but you’d prefer something easier on the body, Pasquini is now offering a variety of gluten-free choices as well as roasted chicken, in addition to a trio of veggie focaccia sandwiches, and an even dozen healthful salads.
