Swallow Hill Music Association, 71 E. Yale Ave., presents: Grammy-winning folk and bluegrass banjoist Alison Brown and her band, Sat., June 30, 8p.m., in Daniels Hall. Brown first gained recognition as lead banjo player in Alison Krauss’ Union Station in 1989.
     Shady Grove Picnic Series at Four Mile Historic Park, Wednesdays, 715 S. Forest St., opens June 20 with Clay Kirkland and Al Chessis; June 27, Frank Fairfield w/Two Thin Dimes. Doors open at 6p.m., music at 6:30. Bring a picnic, and bike in for member pricing ($7). Tickets at door only.
